Will my hostname be deleted if I don't use it?
No. Unlike No-IP, we never send confirmation emails or threaten to delete your records. Your hostnames exist until you delete them.
What does "free monitoring" mean?
Every hostname you create automatically gets basic uptime monitoring. We check if your host is reachable and alert you if it goes down. No extra setup, no extra cost.
Does it work with my router?
If your router supports DynDNS2 (most do: ASUS, Netgear, TP-Link, UniFi, pfSense, OPNsense, Fritz!Box, Synology, QNAP), it works with closetserver.com. We also support ddclient and simple curl/cron setups.
